A Pneumatic recovery blast room, also known as an air blast room or pneumatic sandblasting room, is an enclosed chamber in which large workpieces are blasted with compressed-air-driven abrasive, and the spent abrasive is recovered, cleaned, and returned to the blast pot without an operator sweeping the floor. In KingWo's air-recovery design, the floor is a perforated honeycomb grating: an exhaust fan holds the room at slight negative pressure and pulls air down through the grating, carrying spent abrasive, dust and rust scale into a floor chute, from which the mixture is drawn along a pneumatic conveying line to a screening and separation unit. The reusable grit returns to the pot; the dust goes to the dust collector.
The room is built to the workpiece, not to a model table: internal dimensions, gun count, floor arrangement and airflow are all set from the part drawing. It cleans and profiles steel to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1). It is not a shot peening cell, not a wheel-blast machine, and not a solution for the internal surface of a closed vessel.

Key Features :
Innovative Honeycomb Floor Technology
Utilizes a unique ball-suction design integrated into the honeycomb floor structure, eliminating the need for pits. This feature saves on infrastructure costs, reduces maintenance, and provides excellent visibility.Advanced Dust Collection System
Equipped with a state-of-the-art, air-driven, two-stage filter cartridge dust collection system. This compact, long-lasting system offers easy maintenance and achieves a dust removal efficiency of 99.9%, meeting national environmental protection standards.Efficient Sand Separator
The machine features a specialized sand separator capable of processing shots larger than 0.1mm, ensuring consistent cleaning performance. The separator operates without requiring additional energy.Prefabricated Steel Structure
Built with a modern prefabricated design using advanced color steel. This structure offers quick assembly, high corrosion resistance, low cost, and is easy to relocate.
Q: Does it need a pit?
A: No deep collection pit. Abrasive falls through the honeycomb grating into a floor chute and is drawn out by the pneumatic conveying line, so there is none of the excavation at one end of the chamber that a scraper or screw layout needs. A level reinforced concrete slab is still required and is poured by the buyer to the foundation drawing KingWo supplies. Unloading, lifting, and connecting power and compressed air to the machine interfaces are also the buyer's scope.
Q: How is the room sized?
A: It is sized from the workpiece, not from a model table. Four inputs drive the quotation: internal dimensions (largest workpiece envelope plus operator clearance plus gun stand-off), gun count and mounting (reciprocating carriage or hand-held), dust-collection airflow (set by chamber volume and the air changes needed to hold negative pressure with the door open), and floor and recovery routing (following the crane drop point, the forklift access and the operator position). A drawing of the largest and smallest workpiece, the target grade and the required throughput per shift are enough to size the room.
Q: What surface grade can it reach?
A: The normal acceptance target is Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1), equivalent to SSPC-SP10 / NACE No. 2 — the grade most protective coating systems on structural steel are written around. Sa 3 is achievable on sound plate with fresh abrasive, but it is slower and consumes more abrasive, and belongs only where the coating system demands it. Grade is set by four variables: working pressure, abrasive type and size, gun stand-off and dwell time. It is confirmed on a sample part before shipment rather than promised from a table.
Q: Can it do shot peening, or replace a wheel-blast machine?
A: No, on all three counts. (1) It does not shot peen. A blast room cleans and profiles — rust, mill scale, old coating removal, coating adhesion — while shot peening controls residual compressive stress and Almen intensity, which is a different machine and a different acceptance regime. (2) It does not replace a wheel-blast machine: wheel blasting throws abrasive from a rotating wheel, with different throughput and handling. (3) It does not clean the internal surface of a closed vessel; tank and pipe bores need internal-surface equipment with a different conveying principle.
