When the sandblasting operation starts, the sandblaster is driven by compressed air to spray sandblasting media, such as sand grains, steel shots, glass beads, etc., onto the surface of the workpiece at a high speed. The powerful impact instantly smashes and peels off impurities like rust, scale, oil stains and old coatings on the workpiece surface, achieving surface cleaning and pretreatment.

During the sandblasting process, the sandblasting media and impurities fall together to the bottom of the sandblasting room. At this point, the mechanical recovery system begins to play a key role. The scattered sandblasting media and impurities are collected by mechanical devices such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors or scraper conveyors and transported to the hoist. The hoist lifts them to the separator, where the reusable sandblasting media are separated from impurities and dust by principles such as gravity and centrifugal force. The clean sandblasting media are transported back to the storage bin for recycling, while the impurities and dust are sent to the dust removal system for treatment.

It is mainly applied in the mechanical manufacturing industry, where it is used for rust removal, deburring, surface strengthening and other treatments of mechanical parts such as engine blocks, gears, and shaft parts, improving the machining accuracy and surface quality of parts while enhancing their wear resistance and fatigue strength; in the automotive manufacturing industry, it performs sandblasting pretreatment on automobile bodies and components to remove oil stains, rust and other impurities from the surface, providing a good foundation for subsequent coating processes, ensuring the adhesion and durability of the coating, and improving the appearance quality and anti-corrosion performance of automobiles; in the shipbuilding and maintenance industry, it processes parts such as ship shells, decks, and internal cabin structures to remove rust and dirt caused by the marine environment, maintaining the structural strength and appearance of ships, extending their service life, and quickly cleaning the surface of damaged parts during ship maintenance to prepare for repair work; in the steel structure construction industry, it conducts sandblasting rust removal and surface pretreatment on steel structural components, enhancing the corrosion resistance of steel structures in outdoor environments, improving their connection strength and overall stability, and ensuring the safety and quality of buildings; and in the aerospace industry, it is used for surface treatment of aviation parts, removing oxide layers and tiny defects on the surface of parts, improving their surface integrity and fatigue life, and ensuring the reliability and safety of aviation components under extreme working conditions
