Recently, Qingdao Jinwo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has delivered a customized complete abrasive media recycling system to the coating and sandblasting workshop at the Qingdao Offshore Engineering Base of China National Offshore Oil Corporation. The system provides a fully closed-loop abrasive circulation solution for sandblasting and rust removal operations on offshore platforms and various offshore steel structures. With heavy-duty stable performance and eco-compliant design, it meets the high-standard anti-corrosion construction demands of offshore engineering projects.

    Within the anti-corrosion system for offshore steel structures, sandblasting rust removal is a critical pre-process that determines coating adhesion and extends the service life of components. Offshore engineering plants feature high-volume, high-intensity production, while traditional abrasive recovery methods suffer from high abrasive consumption, difficult dust management, low manual recovery efficiency, and discontinuous production. Based on the working conditions and production standards of offshore engineering scenarios, Qingdao Jinwo Machinery has developed an integrated abrasive recycling solution to realize full-process automatic control covering abrasive collection, purification, and cyclic reuse.

    The complete system consists of pit conveying units, bucket elevators, air separators, vibrating screening equipment, pulse dust collectors, and a centralized PLC control system. It automatically collects steel grit, steel shot, and other abrasives after sandblasting, and conducts multi-stage screening and impurity separation to efficiently remove scale, metal chips, dust residues, and other waste. The recycled abrasives feature uniform particle size and stable performance, fully complying with the process standards of marine anti-corrosion construction. Designed for heavy industrial loads, the system supports long-term continuous production at offshore engineering facilities, with abrasive processing capacity matching mass sandblasting work for offshore steel structures.

    The equipment adopts a fully enclosed body structure equipped with high-efficiency pulse dust removal modules to effectively restrain fugitive dust emission, fully satisfying the strict environmental production regulations of the offshore engineering industry. Supported by the intelligent centralized PLC control system, the whole unit enables unattended continuous operation with easily adjustable operating parameters and real-time equipment status monitoring. It cuts labor maintenance costs, improves the overall efficiency of sandblasting production lines, and greatly reduces abrasive consumption and solid waste disposal burdens.
