Flat Bag Filter
Product Description:

Flat Bag Dust Collector, also known as an envelope-type baghouse dust collector, mainly consists of a dust filter chamber, cleaning mechanism, ventilation fan, dust hopper, and ash discharge device. A control cabinet can be added according to user requirements to control the working process and realize automatic operation. The equipment features a compact structure, simple operation, convenient maintenance, and easy control. It also has the advantages of high strength, heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, moisture resistance, and long service life.

A baghouse dust collector is a high-efficiency dry-type filtration dust removal equipment. It uses woven fiber filter bags (filter cloth) as the core filter element to filter and separate dust-laden gas. As a mainstream device for dust pollution control and powder recovery in industrial production, it is widely used in sandblasting, grinding, metallurgy, chemical engineering, building materials, and other working conditions. It is especially suitable for collecting and treating abrasive dust such as quartz sand and emery generated by sandblasting operations, and is also the core supporting dust removal component for atmospheric pressure / small sandblasting machines.

一. Core Structure

The structure of the baghouse dust collector is designed around filtration, cleaning, and dust collection:

  • Filter Bag: Core filtering component and main dust collection area. For sandblasting applications, wear-resistant and anti-static chemical fiber filter cloth (such as polyester needle felt) is commonly used to resist abrasive dust erosion.

  • Cabinets: Sealed casing that houses filter bags and supports the internal structure, ensuring dust-laden gas is fully filtered inside. Sandblasting-matched models adopt atmospheric-pressure cabinets suitable for the working environment of sandblasters.

  • Cleaning Device: A key functional and wearing component used to remove dust accumulated on filter bags and maintain filtration efficiency. Pulse-jet cleaning is mostly used for sandblasting supporting equipment.

  • Dust Hopper: Located at the bottom to collect dust falling from the filtration. Small models are usually equipped with a conical low-capacity hopper for easy dust removal and cleaning.

  • Fan: Provides airflow power to suck dust-laden gas into the unit. Cleaned gas passes through filter bags and is discharged by the fan. Small models use low-power fans matching the air volume of sandblasters.

二. Core Working Principle

  • Dust-laden gas (such as sand dust from sandblasting) is drawn into the dust collector chamber by the fan.

  • When gas passes through the filter bags, dust is trapped on the surface, and clean air is discharged through the filter pores, realizing gas-dust separation.

  • As the dust layer on the bags thickens, airflow resistance increases. The cleaning system then activates to shake or blow off the dust.

  • The removed dust falls into the bottom hopper, which is cleaned periodically. The filter bags recover filtration performance and enter the next cycle.

三. Main Industrial Types

  • Pulse Jet Baghouse Dust Collector

  • Mechanical Vibration Baghouse Dust Collector
