Vertical Baghouse Dust Collector adopts a vertical hanging design for filter bags. The main body consists of an upper cabinet (including a cleaning device and an air outlet), a middle cabinet (filter bag chamber and tube sheet), and a lower cabinet (dust hopper and an ash discharge device). Filter bags are supported by cages and fixed on the tube sheet. The cleaning system can be equipped with pulse‑jet or reverse air cleaning; some models support off‑line single‑chamber cleaning for higher efficiency. These dust collectors are widely used for dust control in iron and steel, cement, chemical, grain processing, and other industries, and are suitable for efficient dust collection at raw material transfer points, boiler flue gas outlets, powder conveying systems, and other emission points.
Vertical Baghouse Dust Collector is a high‑efficiency dust removal equipment with vertically installed filter bags or cartridges. Its core features are vertical structure, vertically arranged filter elements, and top/bottom bag replacement. It is suitable for industrial scenarios with high plant height and limited horizontal space, clearly distinguishing it from side‑insert dust collectors. It is widely used in metallurgy, the chemical industry, building materials, sandblasting / shot blasting machines, and other high‑dust working conditions.
一. Core Structure
Taking mainstream vertical flat bag / round bag dust collectors as an example, they feature a vertically integrated structure. Filter elements are vertically hung or fixed on the tube sheet, mainly in external filtration mode. The whole unit includes:
Vertical Cabinet: Vertical cylindrical or square structure to maximize vertical space.
Filter Elements: Vertical round bags (mainstream), flat bags or filter cartridges, arranged vertically.
Cleaning System: Pulse‑jet cleaning (mainstream), reverse air cleaning, and mechanical vibration.
Vertical Dust Hopper: Vertically connected to the cabinet, with an ash discharge valve at the bottom.
Air Inlet / Outlet: Mostly side inlet and top outlet, matching vertical airflow direction.
Access Door: Installed at the top or side for the replacement and maintenance of vertical filter elements.
二. Core Working Principle
The airflow logic is similar to conventional dust collectors, with the key difference being vertical filtration and dust settling:
Dust‑laden gas enters from the side of the cabinet and forms a stable airflow inside. Dust is trapped on the outer surface of vertical filter elements.
Clean gas passes through the filter elements and is discharged from the top air outlet, realizing gas‑dust separation.
When the dust layer thickens, the cleaning system activates (pulse‑jet / reverse air / mechanical vibration). Dust settles vertically into the bottom hopper by gravity.
Dust in the hopper is discharged periodically through the ash discharge valve, completing the dust removal cycle.
三. Core Advantages
High Space Utilization: Vertical structure occupies only 1/3–1/2 of the floor area of side‑insert models, ideal for narrow plants with sufficient vertical height.
Excellent Dust Settling: Vertical filter elements allow direct gravity settling into the hopper after cleaning, with no dead corners and less secondary dust raising.
Stable Structure: Vertical integrated design, vertical stress on filter elements, low vibration during operation, long service life.
Suitable for Large Air Volume: Filtration area can be increased by stacking filter layers vertically. A single unit can meet large air volume requirements without modular assembly.
