Downflow Cartridge Dust Collector
Product Description:

Down-flow cartridge dust collector, also known as inclined cartridge dust collector or magazine-type cartridge dust collector, is a dust removal equipment that uses cartridges as the core filtration unit and adopts solenoid pulse valves to control compressed air for reverse-pulse cleaning. The dust removal process is a physical interception process, similar to the working principle of a sieve: dust particles larger than the sieve pores are trapped, while smaller particles can pass through. Therefore, the finer the sieve pores, the higher the dust removal efficiency. Filter media with different pore sizes are required to meet different emission concentration requirements.

As a mainstream type of high-efficiency cartridge dust collector, its core feature is that dust-laden gas enters from the top and flows downward along the outside of the cartridges, which is different from the airflow direction of conventional cross-flow and up-flow dust collectors. Cartridges are vertically installed and adopt the outside filtration principle. Dust trapped on the outer surface of the cartridges settles directly under gravity, and high-efficiency cleaning is achieved with the pulse-jet cleaning system. Cartridge installation, replacement, and maintenance are performed from the top or side. It features high filtration efficiency, excellent cleaning performance, and a small footprint, suitable for high-concentration, large-air-volume fine particle dust control in metallurgy, foundry, sandblasting, shot blasting, machining, and other industries. It is the preferred equipment for overall dust removal in industrial workshops.

Core Working Principle

High-concentration dust-laden gas enters the upper air inlet chamber from the top of the equipment. After being guided by the air distributor, it forms uniform and stable downward airflow, flowing vertically downward along the outside of the vertical cartridges.

When the airflow passes over the outer surface of the cartridges, fine dust particles are trapped by the filter fibers, realizing gas-dust separation. The filtered, clean air passes through the inside of the cartridges into the clean air chamber.

The clean air in the clean air chamber is discharged from the side or bottom air outlet, completing the core filtration process. The trapped dust settles directly downward under gravity and is initially collected in the lower dust hopper.

As filtration continues, the dust layer on the outer surface of the cartridges gradually thickens. When the operating resistance of the equipment rises to the set threshold, the pulse-jet cleaning system starts automatically. Compressed air is injected into the cartridges at high speed through the jet pipes.

The cartridges instantaneously expand and vibrate under the impact of airflow, and the residual dust layer on the surface falls off rapidly. Under the dual action of downward airflow and gravity, the dust settles into the lower dust hopper.

When the dust accumulated in the lower dust hopper reaches the set level, the dust discharge device opens automatically, and the dust is discharged continuously or periodically. The cartridges restore their filtration capacity, completing one dust removal cycle. The equipment operates continuously and repeatedly.

Product Description

Key Features:

1. Efficient Filtration: The system relies on a physical interception process, where dust particles larger than the filter cartridge's pores are trapped, while smaller particles can pass through.

2. Optimized Dust Interception: The finer the sieve pores, the higher the dust interception efficiency.

3. Blowback Cleaning: Solenoid pulse valves control the blowback cleaning process, utilizing compressed air to periodically clear the dust from the filters, ensuring consistent and long-lasting performance.

4. Filter Media Customization: Different emission concentration requirements demand filter media with varying pore sizes, allowing for flexibility in addressing specific dust removal needs.
