A welding fume extractor is a special environmental protection dust removal equipment designed for industrial welding processes. It mainly captures and filters metal oxide fumes, welding slag particles, and harmful gases generated during welding. It is available in three types: mobile, stationary, and wall-mounted. It adopts the technical process of “close-range negative pressure capture + special welding fume filter cartridge + pulse cleaning”, with a filtration efficiency of ≥99.9%. Suitable for various welding stations, it meets environmental emission requirements and protects the occupational health of operators, making it essential equipment for welding workshops.
Core Working Principle
Welding Fume Capture. When the equipment is turned on, the fan creates a negative pressure field. The capture hood captures welding fume at close range to prevent diffusion into the workshop.
Airflow Conveying: The welding fume enters the cabinet or main unit along with the negative pressure airflow. Large welding slag particles settle into the dust collection box by gravity, completing pre-filtration.
Core Filtration: The airflow containing fine fume passes through the special filter cartridge, where fume particles are intercepted by the filter media, achieving complete gas‑dust separation. Clean air enters the clean air chamber.
Up-to-Standard Discharge. Clean air in the clean air chamber is discharged through the air outlet (workshop internal circulation / outdoor discharge), with emission concentration complying with environmental protection standards.
Pulse Cleaning. As fume builds up on the cartridge surface and the equipment resistance reaches the set threshold, the pulse system activates. Compressed air is injected into the cartridge, making fume particles fall into the dust collection box.
Fume CleaningWhen the dust collection box is full, the mobile unit is shut down for cleaning; stationary and wall‑mounted units are cleaned by opening the ash discharge valve. The filter cartridge then regains its filtration capacity.
