Wire Rod Shot Blasting Machines

    Wire Rod Shot Blasting Machine is a continuous through-feed type surface treatment equipment, specially designed for descaling, derusting, surface strengthening, and pretreatment of wires and bars. It is widely used in the entire metal processing workflow (pre-drawing preparation, surface modification, pre-coating treatment), with core advantages of high efficiency, automation, and stable processing quality.

    As a specialized machine for batch surface treatment of metal wires, it mainly includes two types: single wire shot blasting machine and coiled wire rod shot blasting machine, suitable for derusting, descaling, and surface strengthening of different wire forms.

Working Principle

• Feeding Stage: The wire is drawn by external power, roughly straightened by a pre-straightener, and then enters the cleaning chamber to ensure linear passage through the blasting zone.

• Blasting Treatment:4–6 high-speed blast wheels (impeller speed: 1500–3000 rpm) generate centrifugal force to accelerate steel shots/abrasives to 60–80 m/s, forming a dense projectile flow that impacts the wire surface uniformly at 360°, efficiently removing oxide scale, rust, oil, and other contaminants.

• Auxiliary Treatment:

• Purge System: High-pressure air removes residual shots and dust from the wire surface.

• Dust Collection System: Collects and filters dust to meet environmental emission standards.

• Discharging Stage: The cleaned wire is delivered through a guide device, presenting a uniform metallic surface.

• Abrasive Circulation: Steel shots go through a closed-loop cycle: screw conveyor → bucket elevator → separator (centrifugal screen/wind sorting) → shot storage tank, with an abrasion loss as low as 0.5–1% per hour.
